1 hour Reiki Session

Reiki is the act of a healer's hands being placed next to or on an unhealthy organ or blocked energy centre known as Chakras. The Bioelectromagnetic frequency of the healer's hands helps to bring the organ or energy centre back into a healthy range.(1)

Research has found that each part of the body has a unique Bioelectromagnetic frequency. The heart has the strongest Bioelectromagnetic frequency and has been measured to a distance of 15 feet. All organs have their very own Bioelectromagnetic frequencies which pulsate at various frequencies and interact with each other. 

Hands also have a Bioelectromagnetic frequency. Healer's hands have been measured and found to emit a frequency up to a thousand times stronger than the hands of a non-healer. This is important when we realise that Bioelectromagnetic frequencies can interact and affect each other.

Whilst it is still hard to scientifically measure or determine where Reiki comes from, it is becoming increasingly possible to measure and record its effects scientifically.

It depends on your ailment. If you're new to Reiki and are going through a deep ache of grief or loss, you may require multiple sessions to really break through it. This also depends on how willing you are to receive the energy and how ready you are to release.

Reiki works along side you and your current practices, not against them or overriding them. For your first time, Reiki will often loosen the emotion being held by the body and it is recommended that you attend additional sessions to clear it out.

If you're looking for a moment of relaxation, serenity and total bliss, one session will certainly achieve that.

The more sessions you have, the more consistent the energy will be.

When you arrive, I will show you the Reiki room and I will ask you a few simple questions. I will then invite you to make yourself comfortable on the Reiki bed.

Once you're ready, I will begin. I clear my own energy, clear your energy while your 're on the table and go through the several hand positions of the session.

Generally, I will spend 5 minutes at each position, sometimes I am drawn to spend more time at some of the positions. To respect your time, I will keep to the 60-minute time allocation if this happens. 

Maybe you will and maybe you won't. Everyone's experience is different.

Some people have reported feeling cool or warm to hot sensations, light rocking, tingling, hearing messages, seeing visions, and some people don't feel anything like that and just experience utter oneness during the session.

No. I don't use any other modality during a Reiki session. This is because I am trained in traditional Usui Reiki and there is no need to utilise another tool. Reiki is whole and complete as it is...just like you.

It will be challenging to keep your eyes open, and the choice is yours.

I recommend closing your eyes to heighten your relaxation because this lowers any resistance you may have allowing you to accept the Reiki energy more.

You will lie face up on the table, fully clothed with your shoes and socks removed. The table has a fresh towel placed down for you, including over the pillow, as well as a blanket at your feet, should you experience a dip in temperature.

I've received a mix of feedback after sessions. Some are buzzing, ready to tackle anything, some are so relaxed they float out on a cloud, others are still processing deeply and so are quieter and feel tired for the next 24 hours while the body integrates the energy.

Whatever you experience is completely unique to you and your situation. I always recommend drinking plenty of water as this helps with keeping the energy moving and working, getting plenty of rest and listening to your body closely over the next 48 hours.
